Chase Credit Cards Eligible for Point Transfers

Cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred®, and Ink Business Preferred® allow you to transfer points to various travel partners. Some partners even offer bonuses for transferred points. This means you can use your points to help cover the cost of flights or hotel stays by transferring them to Chase’s airline and hotel partners.

How to Transfer Your Points

To see if your points are eligible for transfer, log in to the Chase Travel portal and navigate to the “Transfer to Travel Partners” section. Here, you’ll find a list of eligible partners for point transfers. If you don’t already have an account with the partner airline or hotel, you’ll need to create one before initiating a transfer. It’s also a good idea to check with the airline or visit their frequent flyer website to confirm the number of miles required for your desired trip.

Earning Ultimate Rewards Points

You can accumulate Ultimate Rewards points by making purchases with eligible Chase credit cards. Some cards offer bonus points for specific spending categories, such as groceries or dining. These points can then be redeemed for various rewards, including travel, cash back, or gift cards.

Steps to Transfer Points

  1. Sign in to your account at chase.com.
  2. Click on “Redeem Rewards” in your dashboard.
  3. Choose the option to transfer points to travel partners.

Points can be transferred in 1,000-point increments. Remember, all point transfers are final. You can also combine points across your Ultimate Rewards accounts, and points earned by authorized users accrue to the primary cardholder.

Transfer Timeframes

After completing a transfer, points typically post within several business days. Timely transfers can help you secure your preferred flights before they sell out.

The Best Chase Travel Rewards Card for First Timers

If you don’t currently have a Chase Travel Rewards credit card, you cannot access the Chase Travel Portal. My favorite Chase Travel Credit Card for those new to acquiring travel miles for redemption is the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Currently, Chase is offering 60,000 bonus miles for those who sign up and meet the minimum spend requirements. At the time of this writing, 60,000 bonus points is worth $750!

Final Thoughts

Earning Ultimate Rewards points through Chase credit cards offers a flexible way to enhance your travel experiences. By transferring points to partner airlines and hotels, you can maximize the value of your rewards and make your next trip more affordable. Happy travels and keep on navigating!
